What is QR Code Scanner?
QR Code Scanner reads QR codes live from your camera or from an image you already have — a screenshot, photo, or saved graphic. Point your camera at a code, upload a file, or paste a picture and the decoded text, link, or data appears instantly. Everything is processed inside your browser, so camera frames and images are never uploaded.
How to use QR Code Scanner
Choose camera or image
Start your camera for a live scan, drag a file onto the drop zone, click to browse, or paste an image from your clipboard. PNG, JPEG, and WebP all work.
Let it decode
Hold a live code inside the camera frame or provide a clear image. The browser scans it automatically; a close, high-contrast code decodes fastest.
Read the result
The decoded contents appear in the Result panel — a URL, plain text, Wi-Fi details, contact info, or whatever the code holds.
Copy or open
Click Copy to place the text on your clipboard. If the payload is a web link, use Open link to visit it in a new tab — only follow URLs you trust.
Scan another
Press New scan to clear the current image and read a different QR code without reloading the page.
